Cheese Country Trail is OPEN to all motorized traffic.   Posted 4/13/2015.

Due to numerous noise complaints, the illegal use of altered muffler systems is being aggressively enforced.

Trail passes are $15 and must be purchased for motorcycles, golf carts, bicycles etc.

The Lafayette Co. side trails are open to ATV's if the gates to those trails along the Cheese Country Trail are open. Lafayette County side trail to Fayette is currently CLOSED to ATV's -  This closure to due misuse by a user, this trail may be in jeopardy for the rest of the season.  PLEASE STAY ON TRAIL!!!  THIS TRAIL IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The Tri County Trail Commission generally meets on the 4th Thursday of the month with locations rotating between Lafayette, Iowa, and Green Counties. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, May 21 @ 7 PM in Iowa County at the Mineral Point City Hall.

The multi-use Tri County Trail is located in southern Wisconsin. Passing through wooded areas, prairies, marshes, and small towns on the path of a former railroad bed, the trail is extremely popular with ATV's, dirt bikes, and motorcycles. The trail is also open to hikers, bicyclists, cross-country skiers, and those riding horses. The winter season welcomes snowmobilers.
