June 30, 2012 - On the Cheese Country Trail in Calamine  



LaFayette, Green and Iowa Counties are now a participant of the pilot program for Utility Vehicles, Registration is available at the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department, Darlington or the DNR Service Center, Dodgeville

  

 

Due to numerous noise complaints, the illegal use of altered muffler systems are being aggressively enforced.

 Trail passes are $15 and must be purchased for motorcycles, golf carts, bicycles etc.

 

The Lafayette Co. side trails are open to ATV's if the gates to those trails along the Cheese Country Trail are open. Lafayette county side trail to Fayette is currently OPEN to ATV's - 5/16/2012
Alternate Road Route from Calamine to Fayette is OPEN

The next Tri-County Trail Commission meeting will be on 5/24/2012 at 7:00pm in Green County at the Green County Courthouse Board Room, Monroe, WI

The multi-use Tri County Trail is located in southern Wisconsin. Passing through wooded areas, prairies, marshes, and small towns on the path of a former railroad bed, the trail is extremely popular with ATV's, dirt bikes, and motorcycles. The trail is also open to hikers, bicyclists, cross-country skiers, and those riding horses. The winter season welcomes snowmobilers.
